Recorded: 421 FFM* - 1 month after Fey Ball.
Location: Guild house of Kalladar Elendel
Kalladar Elendel left the Kingdom Edicts next to the printing press and used prestidigitation to remove the ink and dust that had adhered to him during the process.
Kal was distracted and had been since the group had returned from the Fey ball. It had been over a month now. He summoned an unseen servant to sweep the floor and fell to his knees. The image was unmistakable.
He had seen the same scene before at the Fey ball. He was younger and had just slain an undead wizard and his minions. Bones surrounded him. He felt powerful. He started searching for something. Darkness began to surround him. "Turn around" Kalladar whispered. Then something reached out from the darkness, accompanied by an evil laugh and overwhelming presence, and the vision disappeared.
It wasn't just that the vision was of his younger self. He didn't remember the fight. His entire life is mostly foggy. Lately, when he has tried to think of a detail of an event over 50 years ago, it was cloudy or missing pieces. The information was there, but no real memories. This is the reason he now chose to relearn magic.
He had too many of these episodes lately and needed people around him. That is one of the things that brought him to this civilization. He needed to look into bringing more crafters or mages here.
It was a little too quiet inside, so he climbed to the roof. There he had a small altar to Desna, with growing plants about four feet high surrounding this portion of his abode. Here he had an unobstructed view of the night sky, so he reclined against the vines to contemplate the night.
Mip'Talitheyra glided down from her vantage point landing on his chest, selecting her spot and relaxed. They conversed about the Fey ball. When they discussed his vision, Kal was disconcerted that he considered her counsel wise. They discussed the ball some more and Kal was slightly amused. Mip was evidently very taken with Perlivash and kept repeating it was time to visit him. Kal assured Mip he would take her there.
But tonight he will spend focusing on the stars. He had learned a new memory. Time would tell what it meant.
